Which Instagram links can I download?

Use the form above for an available public single-video post or Reel. KeepReels retrieves a supported MP4 so you can save a file to your device. You do not need a KeepReels account, an Instagram login on this site, a browser extension, or a separate download app.

  • Single-video posts: copy the individual post link with a /p/ path.
  • Reels: use the individual /reel/ link. The Instagram Reels download page covers Reel-specific audio and saving questions.
  • Other content: profile links, photo posts, carousels, Stories, private posts, and batches are outside this tool's scope. See the Story saving guide for your own Stories.

A public post is not a guarantee that a downloadable MP4 will be available. Instagram can restrict access, and a post can change or disappear. Only download content you own or have permission to save.

Download an Instagram video in three steps

  1. Copy the post link. Open the video in Instagram and use its share menu to copy the link. In a browser, copy the address of the individual post, not the account profile.
  2. Get the available file. Paste the link into the form above and choose Get download link. Wait for the result. It shows the title, duration, and resolution when those details are supplied.
  3. Save the MP4. Choose Download MP4, let your browser finish the transfer, then open the saved file to check it. A result card alone does not mean a file has been saved.

If the Paste button cannot access your clipboard, paste directly into the input field. KeepReels never needs your Instagram password or browser cookies.

Find the downloaded video on your device

On iPhone or iPad, check Safari's download list and the Downloads folder in Files. Apple's download guide explains where Safari saves files. Importing a compatible MP4 into Photos is a separate step; follow the full iPhone guide.

On Android, check Chrome's Downloads or your file manager before searching your gallery. The Android guide covers finding and opening a finished file.

On a computer, use the browser's downloads list to open the file or reveal its folder. The location may be your Downloads folder or the folder you chose in the save dialog. Wait until the browser reports that the download has finished.

What do free, MP4, and no added watermark mean?

The KeepReels download flow is free and does not require an account. It returns an available MP4 rather than offering a video editor or a conversion service. Audio is included when it is present in the supported source file; there is no separate MP3 export.

KeepReels adds no watermark. Logos, captions, usernames, and other branding already embedded in a source video remain. It does not remove these elements, upscale the video, or guarantee HD, 1080p, or 4K output.

Why did my Instagram download fail?

Start by checking the content type and the link. If the post has become private, is unavailable, or is not a supported single-video post, trying the same address repeatedly will not change that. If the result's temporary download link has expired, request a new one deliberately.

For a busy service, an interrupted transfer, or a file that cannot be found, use the download troubleshooting guide. It separates link problems from transfer and device-saving problems.

Do I need to download the Instagram app?

Installing Instagram and downloading a video are different tasks. If you want the official social app, use the links in the Instagram download app guide. If you want a supported video file, you can use this page in your browser.
